Spurs- DynaTorque spur gear operators and assists are heavy duty, utilizing iron and steel components in their construction. Spur gears as designed by DynaTorque have two distinct applications: First, as add on, close coupled spur gear assists (torque multipliers) for DynaTorque’s worm gear and bevel gear operator product lines. The added ratio provided by these products allows for reductions in handwheel sizing and/or handwheel rim pull effort. Secondly, they provide a stand alone, low ratio, non-self locking, torque multiplier, for small non-rising stem gate and globe valves and other non-self locking applications that require torque multiplication, such as small electric motor operators.
Miters- DynaTorque miter gears are heavy duty, utilizing iron and steel components in their construction. Like the spur gears above, DynaTorque’s miter gear boxes have been designed for two distinct purposes. Generally, this product is used as a add on, close coupled gear box that changes handwheel input shaft direction on DynaTorque’s worm gear and bevel gear product lines. Additionally, as a stand alone product, a miter may be used to change shaft direct (90 degrees) on any rotating member with compatible torque values and interface dimensions.
