Series DT SRD: Specifications for Non-Declutching Manual Override Worm Gear Actuators

Definition

DynaTorque Sandwich Non-Declutching Manual Overrides- are suited for manual override applications where spring return pneumatic actuators with accurately calculated torque requirements are used. This override provides rotation in the direction opposite the fail position only. Rotation in the fail position is provided by the spring return pneumatic. Operators in this category are totally enclosed, weatherproof, and permanently lubricated. Operators are suitable for use in all handwheel applications and chainwheel applications using DynaTorque chainwheel adapters, with the exception of the DT3SRD and DT7SRD, which are not suitable for chainwheel operation. The override is designed to mount between the valve and its primary driving mechanism.

Construction

Unit housing and covers are iron, worms are heat-treated carbon steel, worm wheels are cast ductile iron, input shafts are carbon steel with yellow zinc plating, shaft and worm wheel seals are Buna-N rubber, housing to cover seals are Buna-N, bushings are oil impregnated copper nickel steel alloy. Both drive couplings and drive coupling key connections, are manufactured using 1018 steel.

1. The DT50SRD, DT54SRD,DT90SRD,DT140SRD,DT200SRD and DT260SRD have a spur assist.

2. Handwheels listed are recommended sizes to produce full rated torque with rim effort listed.

3. Bores, keyways, and mounting patterns listed are for DynaTorque standard units. Please consult factory for special bore treatments, costs, and deliveries.

4. Standard mounting patterns on the DT3SRD through the DT260SRD are per ISO 5211 specifications.

5. Standard units are supplied with handwheel listed and blank drive adapter.
