Definition
DynaTorque Sandwich Declutch Operator are suited for applications where maximum valve torque ratings have been accurately calculated. All units have been designed to withstand loads far in excess of their rated torques. Operators in this category are totally enclosed, weatherproof and permanently lubricated. Units are suitable for use in all handwheel applications with DynaTorque chainwheel adapters. The declutch mechanism is designed to mount between the valve and its primary driving mechanism. The declutch locks in both the engaged and disengaged positions.
Construction
Unit housing and covers are cast iron, worms are heat-treated carbon steel, worm wheels are cast ductile iron, input shafts are carbon steel with yellow zinc plating, shaft and worm wheel seals are Buna-N rubber, declutch handles and bushings are stainless steel, housing to cover seals are Buna-N, bushings are oil impregnated copper nickel steel alloy. Drive couplings and drive coupling key connections are made of 1018 steel.
